It is rare but not unprecedented for Berkshire to quickly undo a multi-billion dollar investment in a company’s stock. In the first quarter of 2022, Berkshire sold nearly all of what had been an $8.3 billion stake in Verizon Communications Inc that it amassed in late 2020.

Analysts expect headline CPI to rise 0.5% in January, with the core number seen advancing to 0.4% from 0.3% the previous month, according to a Reuters poll. On an annual basis, CPI likely eased to 6.2%, from 6.5% in December.

The yen dropped sharply last year to a 32-year low of 151.94 per dollar as U.S. rates rose and Japanese rates stayed near zero, but it has since recouped those losses as the Fed looks to pause its tightening while speculation increase that the BOJ will move away from its ultra-loose policy.

The West Texas Intermediate (WTI) for March delivery rose 42 cents, or 0.53 per cent, to settle at $80.14 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for April delivery added 22 cents, or 0.25 per cent, to close at $86.61 a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.

While the moving average convergence and divergence (MACD) indicator is experiencing an upward centerline crossover, the relative strength index (RSI), a momentum indicator, is positively poised. On the higher side, Rs. 850 is acting as an important psychological level; above this, we can expect a level of Rs. 900+ in the near-short term, while on the lower side, Rs. 770 will act as a major support during any correction.

Global LIB demand is going to grow from a current level of 800 GWh to 6,000 GWh by 2030 at a CAGR of 31 per cent. After China, India has become the second most attractive market for manufacturing which will also witness significant growth in this sunrise sector.
