Promoter Fairbridge Capital buys 4.4% stake in Quess Corp; MF, FPI sell stake

The stake acquisition by the promoter helped shares of Quess Corp snap their 3-day losing streak and test a 1-month high of Rs 385. The stock ended 4% higher at Rs 357.50 on the NSE.Through separate deals, a mutual fund house, foreign portfolio investor, and life insurance company sold stake in Quess Corp.Aditya Birla Sun Life Mutual Fund sold 11,36,091 shares or 0.8% stake at Rs 383.79 a share.

SEBI strengthens online dispute resolution mechanism in securities market

Among the measures the market watchdog extended the MII [Market Infrastructure Institution] administered conciliation and arbitration mechanism to registered intermediaries / regulated entities and their investors / clients. It also allowed conducting proceedings in a hybrid mode along with streamlining the dispute resolution process and adoption of other measures to strengthen enforcement of awards

Dollar on the defensive as banking fears ebb; yen drops

The dollar index, which tracks the currency against six major peers, was flat in early Asian trading, following drops of about 0.3% in each of the past two sessions. The weakness comes despite a rise in U.S. Treasury yields, which is also the result of ebbing demand for the safest assets.
